Gina Valerius

Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Gina Valerius has worked in a variety of financial aid offices across the country. She started as a Graduate Assistant Financial Aid Advisor while completing her master’s degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Upon graduation, she worked as a Financial Aid Counselor at Cardinal Strich University. Once her and her husband decided they had enough of the cold weather, they moved to Tucson, Arizona where she held a variety of positions within the University of Arizona’s Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid. She started as a Financial Aid Counselor and worked her way up to Assistant Director of Financial Aid. While she enjoyed customer service, most of her roles were processing and behind-the-scenes special projects within financial aid. She then moved back to Wisconsin and worked as a Financial Literacy Educator at a local technical college, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College. She then moved to Dallas, Texas, where she and her family currently reside, and after two years of working as a regional recruiter for the University of Arizona, she found herself back on a college campus at Texas Wesleyan University as their Assistant Director of Financial Aid.
